The modalities that guide my practice are those I have personally found beneficial in my own process towards greater self understanding, emotional regulation, clarity, and capacity. Everything I guide clients through, I have done or am in the process of doing myself (it’s a never ending journey!). Embodying a collaborative stance as a guide for clients to develop a more intimate relationship with self is essential to my approach as a therapist.

Throughout the last 10 years of my counseling training and practice, I have studied relationship-oriented counseling strategies, parent/child specific interventions, yoga, mindfulness, and somatic (body-oriented) approaches to the human experience. I have worked in crisis intervention, child welfare, in-home environments, and group practice. In addition, I have worked at the intersection of the mental health and legal systems. Prior to working in mental health, I worked as a childcare provider and a yoga/movement teacher. I have also taught and led practicum classes at the graduate level for various counseling programs in the Seattle area.

Currently, I am focused on seeing couples and individuals as well as providing clinical supervision (as a WA State Approved Clinical Supervisor). I am also a doctoral candidate in Antioch University’s Counselor Education and Supervision program (expected completion Summer 2025) focusing my dissertation on accessibility within systems of higher education. I am passionate about the progressive evolution of the field of mental health as a whole. My primary theoretical approaches integrate intersectional feminism/liberation psychology, Polyvagal theory, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Yoga/Movement/Mindfulness. I typically see older teens through adults specifically interested in working from a body-oriented perspective who value the integration of spirituality and mindfulness/meditation into their personal work.

On a personal level, I am a highly sensitive, spiritual being. I am a mother, partner, daughter, sister, and friend. I like to practice yoga, paint/doodle (all website art is my own), write, dance, hike/camp, cook, embrace solitude, and connect with loved ones.
